This 12-acre park features a variety of amenities, including a playground, skate park, basketball court, and football pitches. Visitors can also explore the park's walking trails, which wind through woodland and open grasslands. A pond and waterfall add to the park's natural beauty, and a café is on site to provide refreshments.
Well equipped park and lovely pond with lots of different bird life but for me, the true hidden gem is the woods behind which is full of remaining buildings and hills from the historic brickworks that was on the site. Adventure playground in itself. Unfortunately the park is let down by quite a bit rubbish lying about and dog poo which my kids scootered through!
Nice place. Good for kids & walks. Could give 5 stars if it was cleaner.
Great wee place, with lots of community involvement to get it back to the condition it's in just now. Very peaceful, though the kids are catered for by a pretty big play area. More than reasonable amount of parking and having been there at all hours, it never seems crowded at all. In fact, the exact opposite. Most, if not all, dog walkers keep their dogs leashed, certainly around the swans, ducks and other waterfowl. Benches and tables dot the area, though it could do with a couple more strategically placed bins. You will occasionally find some rubbish around the main seating area up at the playground that has been dumped by the local youths overnight - the usual stuff, plastic bottles, curry trays, crisp packets etc - but this will get picked up by the more responsible humans around and the complete lack of graffiti and vandalism is refreshing, especially as there are fitness machines there that are usually trashed very quickly, whereas here, they are in very good nick. A thousand odd more houses are being built in the area leading up to the park zone and it can only be hoped that this doesn't lead to a downgrading of the community pride in the park. Long may it last. Great wee place.
Enjoyed a couple of hours in the park with a 2 year old and a walk to see the ducks etc on the loch
A beautiful wee oasis in an ever growing housing settlement area. Lovely walks for all levels with play park and cafeteria nearby (currently closed due to covid regulation).
