Your gateway to Glencoe National Nature Reserve Our visitor centre offers loads of walks inspiration and advice with knowledgeable staff and a fantastic giant 3D map of the Glen. Get a taste of Glencoe's past in our cinema with a short film telling 420 million years of history, including the tragic story of the Massacre of 1692, and with a visit to our reconstruction of a 17th century turf house with an incredible mountain backdrop. Treat yourself in our Highland Coo Cafe with one of the finest panoramas in Scotland. Every penny you spend with us in the cafe and shop support our charity's conservation work caring for this amazing place!
You can't move inside the place for tourists rustling about in ponchos or, coach trip passengers. Very expensive items for sale, only so many tartan scarves you can look at. PS4 for parking but, two of the parking machines didn't work. Lovely views outside the building, even on a wet day. Save money and take a packed lunch.
An excellent centre, including a well stocked gift shop. The models and films are really informative about the area and its past. The replica built clan longhouse is brilliant. There are some lovely walks around the centre too, in the spring and summer so much to see.
Loved our visit here from the campsite next door. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Olivia was very good on the tour. The cafe was lovely and the staff there went over and above to make us happy. Food was really tasty and watching the birds feed through the window was very interesting.
Very nice and modern visitor centre. Perfect to make a stop during a road trip. There's everything you need from toilets, shops, museum and cafe. The parking is only free if you're a National Trust member or you have to pay. The part with the old house reconstruction is very nice and you can even spot some Highland Cows there.
Lovely people and a great stopping point before the Glencoe mountains. The reconstructed black hut is amazing from the inside and out. The cafe is spacious and has amazing views of the mountains. They have tours starting from here and a film and exhibition which we didn't have time for, but surely quite interesting. Cheerful souvenir shop staff made my day with his enthusiasm.
A super comfortable and organized visitor center. They have a 20 min video in the arra and then you can go out and see in person some of the things they explain about. Great shop! And super friendly service.
