A world-class mountain bike trail centre located in the heart of the Scottish Borders, offering over 55km of trails for all abilities, from gentle beginner routes to challenging black-graded runs, set amidst stunning scenery with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
What an incredible day exploring Glentress Forest! Today we embarked on a 4-hour hike through the enchanting Glentress Forest, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature. The fresh, clean air, the melodious songs of birds, and the soothing sounds of babbling brooks made for an unforgettable experience. We also enjoyed some amazing coffee at the local coffee shop , and were thrilled to witness an osprey nest with chicks via a live camera feed! This place is a true gem for nature lovers, forest enthusiasts, and cycling adventurers. The trails are well-maintained and offer a pristine escape into the heart of the Scottish wilderness. Highly recommend Glentress to anyone looking for a serene and adventurous retreat.
What an excellent cycling centre! It has everything for every level of cyclist. Well maintained and signed circuits, very good cafe and parking.
Been coming here since I was a kid and never get bored. Moved away from the area now but still come down just for glentress. Great facilities too and new showers. Cafe for a stop at the bottom of the hill. Great for mountain bikers and hikers.
Absolutely fabulous facility. New Red and Black trails are awesome and rode really well.
Had a solo trip and travelled 3 and a half hours to ride and camp. I've been before a d rode black and red so I started on the black this time. A few diversions in place but still an ok ride. The climbing is brutal but the downs make up for it. The Scenery is amazing and the forest in places is very dark. The trails definitely need some TLC as seem to be puddles in front of all the jumps and braking bumps are huge in some places. Didn't enjoy it as much as last time. Did the blue in the afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will return if the trails are upgraded.
