Located just 15 miles west of Newcastle and tucked away in the grounds of a 17th century estate. Our North East location hosts our classic high ropes course as well as axe throwing. You can find us in the picturesque village of Matfen, a few miles North of Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland. Our Treetop Challenge is a 2-3 hour experience and is a great outdoor activity for friends and older families alike. Scramble up rope ladders, tackle tree top obstacles and fly down super-speedy ziplines. We also host four axe throwing lanes - an addictive and competitive one hour experience. First trip here, for me, we more or less had the treetops to ourselves. Pleased it wasn't raining but we had such a giggle on the way round, although crash landed on the zip wires and got bark in places I didnt even know about. Safety talk, Becky was lovely, very helpful along the way taking a couple of photos of us as well. Happy times
Fantastic although you need a good head for heights and strong arms and core... Some of the rope bridges are really hard work! The zip wires are great and they get longer and longer throughout the course. The last one is nearly 200m long! Wear old clothes as you will get filthy... Not from the course itself but from the landing at the end of the zip wires! Highly recommend a day out here. Took us around 3 hours to get round all 5 zones....

Great fun although not as challenging as others! This is the first Go-ape treetop challenge I have done with the always-attached harness system and I wasn't the biggest fan of that, it meant there could not be a tarzan swing which is a staple of the treeptop challenge! Still fun nonetheless and would recommend it!
Loved the experience! The introduction was short, but on point and memorable. No one was discriminated of anything and the guides tried there best to make sure everyone had a great time. Courses are well planed and in case you are doing a more difficult one wizh with children, you have options for an easier route... or a more fun one When I was there, our group was faster, than the previous one, so they adjusted the next routes to reduce waiting times. Was unexpected but in a super good way _____________________________ In case you have someone in your group with fear of high or unable to do the courses, they also layed out wonderful pathways on the ground to follow the participants, I thought that was a super nice addition. Thanks for letting me have a great time!
