Tourist information centre where you can visit us for information on things to see and do in London.
I accidentally booked my Harry Potter Studios trip for the wrong week and the staff were very nice about it and incredibly helpful getting my ticket changed for another day. They also got me on a hop-on-hop-off bus tour in the meantime, where I got to hear the very entertaining tour of Mr. Tim, one of the sweetest people I've met. Highly highly recommend any of the guided tours from Golden Tours, as all of their guides have been so lovely to spend time with.
We got to the Golden Tours Visitor center 40 min early. The people were not very hospitable at all. Only saying checking was 10 min before departure. Departure was 25 min late. We were a party of 15 including small children and a very small bench to wait in, only seating around 8 of us. It was raining inside so it was super cramped. We were the first ones to check in. Our party of 15, and then they made us walk like 3 blocks in the rain to catch the bus. When it got there, the lady blocked the entrance and named the families to be able to get on the bus. We were the last ones, even though we were the first to check in. We didn't get the second floor like all the kids wanted. We had to sit on the bottom where the screens didn't work, or didn't have any at all. There was no Harry Potter experience in the least. Nothing. Boarding this bus or any bus or the underground is exactly the same. Don't take it. Not worth it.
Staff told us to go to pub to use the bathroom. However, the best way is to use the free public restroom in the underground station. it close between 10-11am for cleaning.
We used them for the Harry Potter studios tour, but they do a lot of other tours. People in comments complain about the service, but honestly, watching how rabid some of the other customers were, I really don't blame the staff for being ornery. The larger the group, and the more kids they have, the more they lose their mind. There was an exceptionally obnoxious group when we were there, who talked (yelled) loudly to each other and pushed other people out of the way to be the first on the bus, including a woman in a wheelchair. The worker ended up being very firm with them, and allowed woman to board first, which was very satisfying to watch. The departure was delayed, however. Our ticket said 9:15, but we ended up leaving around 9:45. The bus leaves from around the corner, not outside the building, which makes total sense given how big the street is. Of note - there is no bathroom. We had to go to a cafe a few stores down and buys something to be able to use the toilet. Other than that, we were very satisfied.
I hired the bus to go to the Warner bros Studios and have the complete Harry Potter experience, but it the ride wasn't worth the money. We had to be there at 3pm but we didn't take the bus till 3:30. Not only was it hot (the AC wasn't on) but all the seats with screens to watch the movie were taken, and not only that, they didn't put any movie at all, not even on the screen the have for everyone to see. It was like taking a regular bus, the only difference was that it has the picture of the movie printed to identify the bus. Definitely not worth the money and it's not what it offers.
Did the Harry Potter Studio tour (which was incredible!! ) through Golden Tours. Our bus broke down halfway, which happens, but we arrived later than expected and were repeatedly told by multiple staff we would be able to do the full 4.5h tour and get transportation back to London. Having been told this, we did the full tour only to line up for a later bus, on which turned out we were actually not technically guaranteed a seat. Tldr - Would recommend getting to the studio via public transport (there's a free shuttle from the station to the studio)
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
