Chatsworth House is a grand English country house in Derbyshire, home to the Cavendish family, the Dukes of Devonshire, since the 16th century. The house is a blend of English Baroque and Palladian styles, with a façade of honey-colored stone and a grand staircase. It features an impressive art collection, including works by Rembrandt, Reynolds, and Veronese, as well as a vast library and beautiful gardens. The surrounding parkland offers scenic walks, a farmyard, and a children's play area.
Absolutely stunning place to visit. Beautiful scenery, greeted by very friendly ducks and geese ( remember to take food as they eat from the hand). Scattered benches for resting and stunning lake to watch wildlife on. You can take dogs, I kept mine on lead as wildlife. Loads of sheep too. Plenty of parking. No toilet facilities. Great place to go especially if love walking and getting up close to nature.
Appropriately named for last night's sunset. Beautiful nature reserve, peaceful and calm. Lots of place to park and then some lovely walks. I visited need to the pond with lots of geese and ducks and a few benches. Beautiful hills as part of the scenery too. I didn't see any bins though
Golden valley is located on the far left hand side of the Malven hills, just up the road from the 3 country's show ground. The reserve is a brilliant place for take the dog for a walk, have a picnic or BBQ with friends or family, take young children to feed the wild life at the pond on site. There is also parking whether next to the pond or anywhere on site. Do be aware that is private property, the farmer who owns it is fine with such activities but dont leave any litter and take all your belongings with you.
I love this place at the foot of the Malvern Hills. If you time your visit right in spring, you get to meet all the young birds whose parents flock here all year round. The children will adore it and so will you. Take a picnic and camera
Great place for a peaceful walk, picnic and to feed the ducks/geese. Lots of space to run/walk around, with added bonus of wildlife. Saw sheep/ lambs, and cows and heard loads of birds and a cukoo
Went to scope out the site for a dark skies viewing, looks nicely isolated, looking forward to a post sun set visit when it's clear
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
