This 12-acre wildlife haven features six acres of beautiful water gardens, with ponds, lakes, and a variety of aquatic plants. The Nature Trail, a 1.5-mile walk, takes visitors through woodland, meadows, and along the River Ise, offering opportunities to spot local wildlife, including birds, fish, and insects. The gardens also feature a sensory garden, a children's play area, and a cafe serving homemade food and drinks.
Absolutely beautiful place! A real surprise and far more extensive than expected. This could easily be a two hour trip and for the price that is fairly reasonable. There is more than enough parking, toilets on site and a tea room which serves hot and cold snacks and drinks. There is a real range of nature here to see and enjoy. Lots of the plants are labelled with plaques to show what they are, but it's nice to wander around and enjoy. We saw people with canes, in wheelchairs and they were able to enjoy the gardens as there are either paths or short grass around most of the site. There are also bird-watching hides to sit inside (though some people don't know when to keep quiet!). Lots to see and do and a really lovely treat.
Relax in the enchanted gardens, stroll and explore the trails, with hidden hideaway spots and if you are lucky, you may even spot a kingfisher. There are multiple ponds, bridges, boardwalks and colourful flower boarders all around with benches to sit upon where you can unwind. Put those mobile phones down after youve taken those dreamy pics, listen to the silence or at nature's wildlife song all around you. There is a small tea room, which has a great selection of hot and cold snacks with delicious cakes. Try the banana and toffee muffin, I'd highly recommend. Dogs welcome on a lead. Open daily 10.30am-5pm. A great place for all garden lovers.
Lovely water gardens, packed in with nooks and paths. Very peaceful, relaxing with plenty of places to sit and soak in the atmosphere. Cafe and toilets, dog friendly on leads.
