Parkland with walking and eco-trails, a deer enclosure, millponds plus caravan and camping area.
What a great day with the children and the wife at Gosford Forest park. We did some picnic, kids enjoyed at the play park, great viking courses, beautiful walks and handy facilities. Only PS5 of fee for parking. Time well spent.
That's the nearest forest park from Newry, only 15 minutes. drive towards Armagh. It has it all, peaceful, long forest walking paths, kids' playgrounds, beautiful parks, walks by the river, camping, ice cream and coffee wans, and picnic areas. We always go there for relaxation and recreation. 5PS fee entrance per car.
We have been camping and caravanning in Gosford for over 30 years. We LOVE the place. Forest walks, deer, loads of wildlife, great parks for the kids to play in. These are a few of the many reasons we keep coming back. In the interest of balance. .. the caravan pitches don't have water supply or waste drainage. But that's a very minor negative!
Its a beautiful forest park, lots of outdoor play areas for children, toilets and coffee area., camping facilities and deer park. Its got history too.Five quid to enter and park which I think is a bit steep if your just walking your dogs but not if your making a whole day of it with a picnic etc. The castle area is off limits except if you live there but its a very imposing building. Id like to see more info around it to point out the various ruins and things like the dogs graves etc. Dogs must be on leads.
The most beautiful park with the most delicious ice cream van... amazing views from playpark and serene trails to walk through! Loved it
Fun day out for the kids. Walking and bike trails for all abilities, the walking trail has different play areas dotted along to keep the kids entertained. Brilliant park. Toilets are clean, plenty of picnic benches and there was a coffee/sandwich van beside an Ice cream van on site. Highly recommend.
