Granton Castle Walled Garden has stood on the coast of north Edinburgh since the turn of the 16th century and is managed by the community. It is a historic green-space where anyone can volunteer or visit.
It a hidden little gem! So peaceful and quiet. And the history is almost palpable, like somehow all of those people who were here before us had left a trace behind them... I do appreciate all the volunteers trying to restore it to its former glory... Such a shame the castle was demolished in the 1920s. If you have not been, do pay them a visit!
