For a town park this is a very nice, well maintained, good looking and fair size park. In this park you can find several playgrounds for young ages as well as a football ground that is fenced off and has access from the park. You can enjoy a walk through the nature, sunbathe on the grass, have a picnic or have a sit on a bench, whichever you fancy. This is a short walk from the town centre and you have multiple access points! Totally recommended, enjoy!

We love a walk around here out of school weeks, would be to busy once kids are back at school. Love having a coffee at the park cafe, they do a wonderful coffee .

A fantastic blissful Grays Town Park, as the name suggests, sits right at the heart of the Grays Town and it was the first & oldest public park for leisure and recreation of the local community in the area starting its journey in 1887! Concrete pathway is led across the Park and connect all entrances and exits - hence, accessing the park is much more easier for users with mobility restrictions Wheelchair users, pushchairs. Some pathways are tree-lined with Ornamental Flowerbeds increasing the aesthetics of the Park. Once an active Brickfield, now a beautiful sanctuary for all ages of all abilities in the midst of the busy Grays Town! Ornamental Gardens & Flowerbeds , large grass areas, large Children's Play Area, Basketball Court , Tennis Courts , Multi-purpose Sports Area, Outdoor Gym, Cafe, Toilets, War Memorial and a mosque are the key features of the Grays Town Park. The Grays Town Park has gone through some brilliant transformation and hence, changed the dynamics of the Park making it even more attractive space to visit, experience, contemplate and explore! Next to the Shelter, a new Thurrock Victory was unveiled in 2020 and it is surrounded by circular flowerbeds! And the unused Shelter is now being used as a Community Cafe! Old Health Clinic by the Park Road has recently been converted to a mosque ! The Rockery (located on the East Side of the Park & by the Bridge Road entrance) and the Shelter by the Bedford Road Entrance are two key significance areas of the park - it is being said that area surrounding environment of Rockery & Shelter have hardly changed over the past 120 years! The Rockery could be a beautiful adventure attraction for children and teenagers if it is purposed for this or perhaps a water fountain! Grays Town Park is surrounded by busy town roads - Bridge Road, Orsett Road, Clarence Road and Stanley Road! The park is a very convenient walking Trail providing easy access to these roads and town amenities! There is no dedicated parking [P] available. But there are on-street parking available and some dedicated Blue Badge Holders only Parking Bays [P] available nearby!
