Took the normal steam train to Leicester and back. Was a very nice trip with a great buffet on board, very friendly staff and reasonable priced. The station, trains and staff take you back in time. Would really recommend!
We were bought a Vintage 1st Class dining experience as a wedding gift. We had a really lovely time. The staff were attentive and the food was lovely. The ride lasted about 2hrs. An excellent experience.
Just had the best day on the GCR, with guest locomotive Tornado, that looked simply amazing in LNER green livery. We treated ourselves to the full English breakfast, on board the train, in the wonderful griddle dining car. It's one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had If you fancy a 40's, 50's and 60's flashback, there's no better place.
Love this place, it's a great day out for all the family young and old. The staff are always very nice and friendly. Plus on the plus side when you spend money it's all going towards maintaining the great central railway for future generations to come.

Love it here! Took my little one yesterday as she is train mad and we had a lovely morning. Nothing is over priced and it all goes to help the railway anyway. Sausage roll was lovely! The staff were great and friendly too, takes you back to a time where things were better that's for sure.
