Impressive ancient castle and grounds for large-scale events, shooting and off-road driver training.
Absolutely brilliant tour by the current custodian of the castle, Tom. The work and passion that has gone into the restoration is phenomenal. Was made to feel very welcome, with tea and cake in the drawing room. The best tour of a castle I have ever had. Superb. We will definitely be back in the future to see how everything is going.
I had such a delightful time visiting Greystoke Castle! The enthusiasm of our guide truly brought the history of the castle to life, sharing amazing stories that captivated everyone in our group. It's clear that there are incredible improvements underway, making this place even more special than it already is. The coffee and cake provided after the tour was a lovely touch; it made for a cozy break while we soaked in the surroundings. I also enjoyed wandering through the gardens - they're beautiful and have so much potential for growth! I can't wait to see how Greystoke Castle evolves over time. Highly recommend this experience!
The site wasn't ready, paid PS18 for 3 people to walk the dog around the garden. What they had on the website wasn't even about a Tarzan trail didn't even exist. No markers to tell which way, and you could get round in 10 minutes, no beautiful gardens to look it, just grass. Absolutely rubbish, don't waste your money's, not worth it. Xxx
Arrived for a local animal charity dog show. The castle is charming and looks like it may host corporate or possibly future public opening events. I would love to have a look around if it had historical content. On the other hand, it's a family home with some public access rooms. Grounds are nice, loving the livestock.
Lovely place. I am waiting when is finished the refurbishment
I have just visited Greystoke Castle with my husband and we will be going back on occasions to see its progress. We had a delicious cream tea in the cosy lounge which had been refurbished beautifully. Chris gave us the tour which was really informative and brilliant to see the before and after. The newly made curtains were such a statement in all the rooms they hung in. The outside of the building showed so much history. Tom Nash must have the heart of a lion, such vision and inspiration. Our next visit is in the diary for 3 months can't wait to see the changes. Is there anything being planned for the Christmas season?
