A picturesque harbour situated on the north coast of Northern Ireland, surrounded by rugged coastline and rolling hills. The harbour itself is small, with a few fishing boats and yachts moored in the calm waters. The village of Groomsport lies adjacent to the harbour, with its charming cottages, quaint shops, and historic pubs. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks along the coastal path, take in the salty sea air, and sample the local seafood at one of the harbour's eateries.
Nice harbour and great sunsets. Good spot to park and go for walks from.
Stopped on our way home as there was a stunning sunset. Nice wee view right across the lough.
Lovely beach. Clean water. Today some seaweed on the last section but that would be unusual. Small Car park.Toilets . Drinking tap for bottle refill. And wheelchair accessible beach Saturday and Sunday over the summer, equipment provided by the council. Terns and guillemots in the summer and the occasional gannet. Fabulous.
Peace and quiet and a fantastic view to chill with a coffee. If you're patient enough you might even see some dolphins. A colony of Guillemots breed here every year, April to August, charming little creatures.
Cockle Row cottages now open at weekends. Check Ards and North Down Borough Council for times etc. Nice spot and great pub grub at Groomsport Inn
Beautiful beach, went for an afternoon walk. There are a lot of teenagers that hang out about this beach. Lovely beach especially when the sun is settling. Nice sandy beach.
