Public space since 1889 with a playground, a bowling green, a cafe and wildlife/bird habitats.
A lovely park with lots of different activity areas: woodlands, grassy banks, wetland, large pond with a grotto-looking series of wells, various children's playgrounds, bowls, playing fields, cafe, toilets, (these were closed so can't say how good they are). I could go on. Lots of people and dogs enjoying a warm summer's evening (even if the Olympic swimming was on!).
Such a brilliant play park! It has a cycle/scooter loop. Swings. Little play area with slide. Bigger play area with 2 slides. Big sandpit to play in. Recommend training bucket & space, toy trucks. My boys love playing in the sand. Cafe with good food and tasty coffees. Toilets and baby change available. Lake with ducks, coots etc to watch. Also a promenade to walk across with ducks too. Skate park at the back. Football area too. Lots of bits great for walks.
Battersea dogs home doesn't have this many dogs, the whole of China doesn't have this many dogs... Lovely park but it's more of an open air kennel to be fair, old dude on the tractor is a legend though Skatepark is a bit of a joke, people hosting lessons telling me I can't skate there, it's a public skatepark I'll skate here whenever I feel like it thanks though buddy. The water fountain by the cafe is a great idea hopefully it remains there... The pond water is absolutely ridiculous, saw a heron fly down then immediately think "nope that's gross" to itself... It's a shame as it could look beautiful but currently looks like an incontinent grandmas underwear Park gets a bit "stabby" after dark so keep your eyes open, why is it totally pitch black? I shouldn't need a flaming torch like I'm visiting the ice wall in game of thrones, whack a few lights up son?
This is truly a gem. It's a beautiful park that allows you to take a stroll on well maintained paths which are also wheelchair friendly. There is a lovely Cafe which I found has a really good variety of meals to choose from. Finally there is a well setup kids play area which has the most amazing kids activities which are even big enough for parents to climb and help their little ones. There are nice sand pits and lots of natural wood climbing structures.
Beautiful wooded park nestled between Tunbridge Wells and High Brooms. Reasonably larger wooded areas cut off the main area of the park for a more secluded walk, and the main area has a nice pond/nature reserve. It seemed especially popular with dog walkers as the park is mostly surrounded by housing. Small playground area for children and some pretty cool street art on some of the walls.
Beautiful park with different play areas for all ages, including zip wire and basketball field. There are picnic tables and a coffee shop. No parking as its in the city centre but usually easy to find parking in the surrounding roads.
