Home of Lord and Lady Edward Manners, Haddon Hall is a fortified medieval manor house with romantic gardens. Haddon is not a National Trust property. We offer free admission for Historic House members, and Gardener's World 2-for-1 entry with a valid card.
Incredible place! A beautiful, creaky old house with lots to explore. Fantastic long history to the place which really stands out as it was hardly touched during the Georgian & Victorian eras. Really loved the cottage gardens in the sunshine too. Only pitfall is the lack of vegetarian options in the cafe.
I had the most delightful experience at Haddon Hall. The building and gardens are truly stunning, and I felt like I was transported back in time while exploring the amazing rooms. It's no wonder production companies choose this location for period films - it has an undeniable charm. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the talk in the chapel. And let's not forget about the delicious meal I had in the restaurant - that juicy burger with dirty fries and coleslaw was simply scrumptious!
!During the festive season, we had the pleasure of visiting Haddon Hall, a stunning historic site hosting a Christmas market. The market itself was delightful, meandering through the property's courtyard and rooms. However, accessing the house involved a considerable climb, and the disabled parking area was located in a muddy field far from the house. As a result, I would not recommend this visit for individuals with mobility issues or those using wheelchairs. Nonetheless, the beauty of the place is truly remarkable!
Visited on Saturday with 2 friends. Interesting talk and lovely gardens. Only a small part of the house is open though, the family live in the rest of it. Tearoom very good.
Definitely one of the most beautiful country homes in the country. It's unique medieval heritage which has been restored to much of its original grandeur makes it truly unique to visit. It is a shame you can't do a proper walk on the estate but the impressive gardens and incredible home were more than enough for me and my partner to fall in love with this wonderful place.
A beautiful, Elizabethan castle, built around a stone courtyard, lost to history for 200 years. It only woke from its slumbers about 100 years ago and therefore retains most of its historic features. Perched on the top of a hill, the castle's terraced garden, looks over the River Wye and the countryside below. It was a magical visit.
