I recently discovered this beautiful house and its garden and l was very impressed. Wandering around the gardens here, l found the plants/flowers both beautiful and interesting! I really like the animal shaped topiary. I also found here a really good cafe and l had a lovely lunch! I would highly recommend the carrot cake.
The gardens are lovely this time of year. A serene and beautiful landscaped environment for leisurely walks and moments of tranquility. While I didn't actually visit the house, I enjoyed the gallery. However, a really standout highlight for me was the educational owl display. Having the opportunity to hold an Eagle Owl was both thrilling and enlightening. A unique, hands-on experience with these magnificent birds. The knowledgeable staff and well-maintained grounds make Hall Place a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and families looking for an engaging day out. Highly recommended for a memorable encounter with nature and wildlife!
Nice place to walk around, they have a pay to enter owl sanctuary and butterfly house. PS6 per adult PS4 per child. Gardens are free. Entrance fee for the house. Large grass area across from the river which runs through the area. Nice for picnics etc bbq's not allowed. Got a lovely riverside cafe with outside seating which is great on a nice day. Cafe was reasonably priced with a fair selection of eating options.
One of the best parks near Bexleyheath! It has: 1. Free parking with ample slots 2. Massive stretch of land for playing frisbee, playing with your dogs and so on 3. A mini train 4. Fruit and veggie garden 5. Butterfly park (PS7.5 per adult entry fee at the time of writing this review) 6. A place to view owls and even hold them 7. Cafe with washroom nearby but the cafe wasn't that great imo Definitely recommend.
Hall Place is set in absolutely beautiful grounds and gardens that are so well maintained. You really get a feel for an old age English country garden. I was sad to see that the greenhouse was closed on our last visit. It looks like it's being refurbished- I really hope it does reopen. The butterfly house has gone too which is another sad loss, as there are no signs of it reopening at all. The jambs owl experience was still there, which was good to see. There is a lovely cafeteria in the grounds next to the riverside, a lovely place to sit in the sun, and they serve delicious breakfasts! No dogs allowed anywhere on the grounds which was a real shame.
Great day out! Once you pay for the butterfly farm you can go in and out as many times as you like. It was a hot day so we done a couple of shorter visits.
