Lovely place.. and went for a walk through the woods and up to drakestone and along to the lake. Fantastic views and walk was great.. Rather windy but that didn't spoil the day..
Peaceful area, ruins only but the view is lovely. Great spot for a picnic under a tree. The road it sits in is worth driving too, very pretty alongside the river.

Not much actual castle left but an interesting site with beautiful views of the peaceful valley. Free carpark. No toilets. Star Inn pub in village.
