This 18th-century landscape garden features a stunning lake, walking trails, and a variety of plant species. The park's centerpiece is the magnificent Harewood House, a Grade I listed building designed by John Carr and Robert Adam. The estate also boasts a beautiful bird garden, home to a wide range of bird species from around the world, and a farm experience with animals such as pigs, goats, and sheep. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll, a picnic on the grounds, or a boat ride on the lake, taking in the serene surroundings and picturesque views.
Vast open space for a park, we started at the muddy boots cafe , Honesty box parking which is a great idea.... walked along the road, through the gate and into the country park..keep a eye in the sky as plenty of red kites visit this area.. wildlife is abundant rabbits seem shy but robins are friendly ...fallow deer where in the bottom field.. we followed the road down to the river, where we saw various ducks , a heron and in the next Field black sheep with the cutest lambs..on the way back, Thinking we'd missed the Red deer , they were all along the road grazing away quite happy with the public taking there photos..a great site met us back at the muddy boots cafe, 30/40 red kites showing off there aerial skills...
