This 144-acre park features a mix of woodland, grassland, and wetland habitats, with several walking trails, including the 1.5-mile Woodland Way and the 2.5-mile Riverside Route. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, bats, and insects, and offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Visitors can explore the park's many features, including a sensory garden, a children's play area, and a cafe serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.
I just love it here. I love that the walk around is less than an hour (excluding breaks), with plenty of benches and beautiful views. The dragon flies here are HUGE. Free parking, though donations are suggested, and a cafe with toilets on site. Free play area for children and workout zone. It's just a shame there isn't a shuttle bus to places like this, as you have to have access to a car to come here if you're not local. It's so wonderful that more people should be able to get to it.
Great walks around the many routes. Cafe and toilets, play areas and loads of picnic tables too. Worth a visit.
