The short path to the statue also contains information boards and benches on which to sit The statue is one of my favourites and is genuinely nice, in my opinion. I would recommend visiting here if you are in the area.

This is an understated memorial to a great innovator - established by modest private/family funds to a man who, in many ways, helped shape our modern world - he deserved a much more publicly funded tribute. I would have liked to have seen models of his creativity.
