Two areas of ancient hilly woodland make up most of this delightful country park. Renowned for glorious displays of bluebells in the Springtime, the park can take your breath away all year round with its hillside location offering spectacular panoramic views over four counties on a clear day. The site also has a great adventure play area/tea kiosk.
A little piece of haven, it has everything. Woods to play in, fields for stunning views, scenic walks and a park for the kids. The only thing missing is a cafe but there was a mobile van selling drinks and snacks for a while. I'll definitely come back.
a very nice forest park with many walking and cycling paths, you can meet wild animals and relax in the fresh air
Beautiful walks, can be a bit muddy in places during wet weather but a fantastic places to take the dog and there's a small play park for young children. Keep dogs under strict control as muntjac deer have been killed in recent times. Bluebell season in April is particularly beautiful. Parking is PS3.30 and you can pay by card. There are toilets in the car park.
Picturesque country park in the middle of the city. A lively place to see and explore, lots to see and plenty of different paths to explore. A wonderful place to sit and enjoy the fresh air while overlooking the city life you have come to escape. Great adventure for dogs and plenty of bins around
Clean. Tidy & quiet. Toilets were clean. There was dog water available. Paths well kept & sign posted. Children's play area was kept clean & well maintained. Parking was available and not all that expensive. Altogether a great afternoon out with the Grandchildren.
This place is simply beautiful. Went in the spring most recently (bluebells ), and it was gorgeous. Highly recommend although be advised that there are few facilities.
