We love it here! My son really like seeing the mummy and other ancients bits and pieces. I like a wander round the garden to the Bee hive and the pond. Always a great day out. Would be nice to have a selection of light bites in the cafe rather than just tea/coffee & Biscuits.
Fabulous performance of Jemima Puddleduck by the Quantum Theatre. The Museum garden is lovely, great service from the volunteers. Love the events programme!
Lovely museum. Has a small cafe. Lovely gift shop. We visited the travelling farm there, which was amazing.
Fascinating museum and very well done. We really enjoyed our visit with the exhibitions and the grounds
What surprise, I have lived in the area all my life and never visited before as didn't think it would be much. Loads packed in to a small area and all for free (donation suggested). Also great for the kids. Bets bits were the fossils and animal skeletons. The Egyptian mummy and artefacts were fascinating. Roman poetry found locally was a nice touch as well. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic museum! Larger than it looks, excellent collection of geology, and natural and human history. Family friendly. Lovely garden too with circular boardwalk path and a small lilly pad lake. Accessible toilet and lift inside the museum. Small shop with gifts and toys. Free entry with a suggested of PS5 donation for which there is no pressure - easy to drop in a box in the way out.
