Doniford Bay Holiday Park in Watchet, Somerset sits on the northern tip of the Quantock Hills on the county's coast. There's an array of activities to try, including a new climbing wall and jump tower, an indoor pool with slides, and an outdoor swimming pool, too. Cafe Bar and Grill is the place to be on park for all things food, Cook's is magnificent for the seaside classic that's fish and chips, and there's an outdoor bar to keep you refreshed. The entertainment venue provides options throughout the day and evening, and there's a whole host of activities for guests to try. Dogs are welcome, and there are beautiful areas surrounding the parks to be enjoyed - we recommend a walk into Doniford and its shingle beach.
Great location for this holiday park. Had a wonderful weekend break away with the family. We stayed in a Saver caravan which had everything we needed, very clean and comfortable. Kids loved it. Booked twice for swimming, that was great fun! Bit tired looking. We had a meal in the cafe on the first night, very nice food, staff were very attentive, friendly, polite and helpful. The mini market had a lot to choose from (including gluten free), a bit expensive. Lovely farm shop just down the road, had a Sunday roast, very lovely staff there! Good value for money too. Good local attractions. A good time was had by all.
We've just spent a week at Doniford and have had a great time The site is quite small, but there's just about enough on site, to occupy you for a week. The entertainment crew really keep the kids going. Food in the restaurant/cafe was good. Table service in the main club saves any queuing. The caravan we had was one row back from the sea-front, so an excellent view of the sea. Caravan was very clean (especially as it's one of the "pets" vans). Away from the clubhouse, the site was very quiet at night. Would definitely recommend and would go back.
Caravan was lovely and clean. Nice decking area for children to play. Kids loved character entertainment and meet and greets. Will the activity instructor was great as well as Luke the new blue coat who was loved by the children . ||Swimming pool was nice and had room to actually swim but also enjoyed the slides. We all enjoyed beach ball bingo.||I think another good option on site would be great such as a pizza place. Some activities could do with some improvements such as new colours for make a bear and the paint for pottery. Arcade claw machines seemed impossible to be able to win anything didn't see any one with one of the prizes the whole week we was there. Ticket prizes were also not great more options needed.
Set in a lovely location next to the beach and in well maintained grounds. Friendly staff which make a pleasant change for a Haven site. |There lots to do or little to do, depending on wait you are after from your holiday. |The whole place, showbar and arcade felt safe to be in, unlike some holiday parks. |The Grandchildren loved and so did us adults.. |Will definitely be going again. Small and Friendly.
We've just come back from a four night break away, caravan was spotless, the staff were so friendly and the evening entertainment team were incredible! Especially Luke who brought so much energy to the evenings. Small Haven site, the play parks could definitely do with an upgrade and more added to it for younger children. Swimming pool is great and the slides but only 1 hour slots (colour banded) little soft play on site which is good to keep the children occupied and the shop on site is reasonably priced. Overall a positive stay.
Beautiful location and lovely food place. It is one of the quieter ones. But i enjoyed. Caravan was beautiful, only negative was the bedroom and didnt provide extra pilliows. There was some in the cupboard but they were dirty.||Staff were really friendly. Lifeguards too busy looking at eachother and messing about rather then keeping an eye for safety though.||Overall beautiful location, just one of the smaller havens
LGBTQ+ friendly
