A vast expanse of wild and windswept moorland, heathlands are characterized by low-growing, acid-loving vegetation such as heather, gorse, and bracken. The terrain is often rough and rocky, with peat bogs, streams, and wetlands scattered throughout. In the summer, the heathlands are ablaze with purple heather, while in the winter, they can be bleak and unforgiving. Wildlife such as ponies, deer, and birds of prey roam freely, adding to the sense of wildness and freedom.
Lovely park, my son enjoys coming here with his bike, scooter, remote control car, or football. It is Always clean.
Nice little park with an orchard in middle of a nice estate.
This is a lovely small park that has a small all-weather football pitch, a fabulous small adventure playground and an enclosed area for smaller children. Very dog friendly and responsible dog owners who clean up after their pooches. The local teenagers can leave rubbish on the park; hence four stars not five. Very kid and parent friendly... we locals treasure our park, plus there is an abundance of apples come Autumn.
Lovely, peaceful park
We are completing a lot of the Outdoor City GreenGround routes, stopped here for our sandwiches for lunch, delightful park. Play equipment for those of a younger age, we sat on a bench in the Community Orchard, the bird song was "deafening". What more could you want!
Nice job they are doing helping the seals, nice place to visit, moderate things to keep the kids entertained. We spend about 1 1/2 hours inside.
