Loads of options to wander the woodlands. Various routes options for various levels from 1 to 2 mile at Hedley Hall Woods or venture further down to Beamish Burn and Tanfield and Causey Arch for a bigger loop anything between 8 and 11 mile depending how much time you have.
This is a great place for a dog walk, solid flat paths suitable for wheelchairs/mobility scooters/prams as well as little paths to explore off in the woodland for those more able. There is some lovely sculptures dotted around for you to enjoy too. Found it very clean and didn't see much litter, there is lots of dog poo bins too which is handy. Has its own little free car park. My dogs had lots of fun exploring and we would visit again.

Great place to walk dogs, new paths are well maintained, nice and firm. Lots of little hidden gems to explore. You just have to put up with idiots not cleaning up after their dogs
