Hengistbury Head is a local Nature Reserve and Scheduled Ancient Monument, with a Visitor Centre to help you find out more about this special place. Owned and operated by BCP Council.
It was a superb walk along the Hengist point area. Visitors center was not open. But I can see it's an interesting place trying to project life in the past. Settlement was found almost 1000 years ago.
We had a really good experience visiting this place. It is very recommended. The parking is very close and a bit expensive. The beach and cliffs are on a walking distance and worth to walk along all the paths. There is a train to take you one mile and a half away towards the Avon Beach.

Admission charges: Free Small Donations Small amount of free parking. There's pletty do here, walking, vistor centre, bird watching, small beach, hengistbury head, Bournemouth beach. Pletty food places. Great whole day out.
The walk to the coastguard lookout at the top of the hill is worth doing for the view. The path is good under foot for most of the way, but as you get close to the top, it becomes narrow and tricky, especially if you have mobility issues. It has a very large car park, so I expect it gets very busy in the summer months.
Great parking, accessible Visitors Centre and long walk on excellent surface to an amazing view but go back the same way as the other side down is steep and ends in STEPS
