The former home of 20th century sculptor Henry Moore. Now a sculpture garden, gallery and museum. Open to visitors April - October yearly. Hire as a venue for weddings and events.
Wonderful garden with beautiful sculptures. Love the fact that the tickets give you access for one year as it'll be nice to visit the garden during the different seasons (opening times permitting). Cafe is reasonably priced with great selection of cakes. Didn't look at the menu for savoury items but what I saw being delivered to other tables looked great. Staff in cafe and the various studios were very friendly and engaging. Very easy to spend a few hours here without realising that time has gone so quickly. Also wonderful to be able to see the art from all angles. Will definitely be back.
Amazing beautiful gardens, with stuffing sculptures and studios! The cafe also great, they are serving delicious cakes The tickets is valid for a year so you can go as many times as you like! It's a perfect place for a solo trip with a book, or with friends for a picnic You can cycle there, from Ware/St. Margaret, takes 20-30mins and it's a lovely cycle. You can also hike from Ware/St. Margaret, 6mikes each way around 2h and 30mins.
A wonderful visit here yesterday. A delicious lunch in the Rosey Lee Cafe followed by a beautiful walk around the sculpture gardens, various studios and the amazing Tapestry Barn. It was a very hot day but there are plenty of benches and shaded areas. The staff were all very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant which made the visit all the more enjoyable. Ned gave us a great tour of Hoglands, the Moore family home and really brought everything to life.
Original Moore sculptures and beautiful gardens. House tour (40 mins) with interesting stories about Moore and his eclectic art collection including Picasso and Renoir. Mobility scooters available but book ahead in busy times. Cafe with outdoor seating. Scones excellent but cakes contain margarine so I'm docking a point !
Beautiful outside space and exhibitions in Barns and outbuildings. Information centre, toilets cafe all well catered for. Ticket lasts a year which is fantastic. Definitely worth a good few hours visit here.loved the sheep roaming with statues art pieces in the foeld too. Thank you for a great first visit
Absolutely fantastic sculptures. Oversized sculptures in gardens, would be great with young children to run around. Especially liked the studios and see how Henry Moore came with ideas and made many small sizes models. Ticket is now usable for the whole year.
