This museum showcases the history of the Herefordshire Light Infantry, a British Army regiment that served from 1700 to 1967. The museum's collection includes uniforms, weapons, medals, and other artifacts that tell the story of the regiment's military campaigns and battles, including the Napoleonic Wars, the Crimean War, and both World Wars. Interactive exhibits and displays provide insight into the daily lives of soldiers and their families, as well as the regiment's role in shaping local and national history.
My son went on a school trip loved it he wants to go again
Not easy to find. You have to buzz in via the outer Gates of the TA center. However we were met by three of the museum volunteers who were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Whilst it is clear that the museum is housed in a medium sized meeting room there are a good quality of artifacts all presented in a clear manner. Considering the museum is funded purely via donations they have done well. There's a good range of old uniforms also in display. Interesting and Worth popping in.
A great small local museum.
Wonderful place to learn about HLI. We need to keep places like this going.
Be prepared to climb stairs
Great pub
Wheelchair-accessible car park
