This iconic waterfront clock tower built in 1837 is still functioning & features its original bell.
Close to car park, eating places, amusement arcade and pier. Lovely view. Wheelchair friendly, flat.
Here for the Carnival. Park. Pier. Shops. Arcades. Gardens. Traditional landmark on Traditional beach front that caters for all. It might not be sandy but it is worth a visit.
Beautiful beach. We love coming here in the summer. Few nice shops around but the beach is mainly where we stay. Moon jellyfish are often around too.. kids love watching them. Don't worry they don't sting humans! Very clean and well kept area
Have visited Herne Bay a few times as my sister lives here. Good walks along the front by the Clock Tower and the pier. We had fish and chips from Dean's fish and chip shop/restaurant very good and reasonable prices. Walked on the pier stopped off coffees and took in some sunshine. We walked back to the Station for the train home.
Great place to meet friends and family. We watch the carnival from here most years
It's been renovated and tells the right time, it was a gift for Herne Bay early last century. Also it has markings about 5 circles saying about how far out the wind turbines are out at sea, 5.5miles Also Herne Bay is known for its in bloom with well established plants, and wins regularly.
