The High Weald is one of England's finest landscapes, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1983. A medieval landscape of wooded, rolling hills studded with sandstone outcrops; small, irregular-shaped fields; scattered farmsteads; and ancient routeways. The 1461km2 area covers parts of Kent, Sussex and Surrey at the heart of South East England. **Please note this address is an administrative office and not open to the public**
A beautiful place to visit. Very friendly staff. They normally have things going on for kids too good day out.
Theses photos were taken at Bedgebury Pinetum July 2024. It's a great day out in the big out-doors, and as you'd expect, lots of trees and shrubs, not just Pines. There are several trails throughout, and always something going on for the smaller children like the "Gruffalo" trail which is interactive. There's also a big play area to amuse the little darlings too.The cafe is smart & tidy, but expensive, so bring your own goodies if possible. The toilets are clean & tidy.
Picturesque rolling countryside, with some spectacular rocky outcrops
Cheddiston Castle was a lovely old castle/ house. Didn't get to see much of the gardens but you can take your four legged friends in certain parts of the house / cafe..The Tea for 2 is a much and price is good atPS7.50 each.
