A picturesque coastal village in Cornwall, England, Higher Town Bay is a tranquil haven surrounded by rugged cliffs and scenic walking trails. The bay's sheltered beach, with its soft golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters, is a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. As the tide recedes, it reveals a vast expanse of flat sand, ideal for beachcombing and exploring the numerous rock pools teeming with marine life. The village itself is a charming assortment of old cottages, tea rooms, and pubs, serving up fresh seafood and local ales. With its relaxed atmosphere and stunning natural beauty, Higher Town Bay is a must-visit destination for those seeking a quintessential Cornish experience.
Lovely place . Used to live there up until 1986 and forced to move because of family problems and cost of living there . If you don't earn or have London money in the poorest place in Cornwall. Lack of work in the winter and if you dare be off sick during the summer you can't make up the money. One day we will meet again my love for the islands.
Love this beach, water is clear and calm, very good for swimming
