Sizable park featuring a 19th-century mansion, walled gardens, a fishing lake & a playground.
Came here to go to the tramlines, just for the 1 day. Tramlines was pretty good actually. Just seemed like the Line-up between Tom Grennan and Jamie T was the wrong way around, as I thought Tom Grennan was way better than Jamie T.
Great park, not too big, connects Hillsborough shops with Penistone Rd . Beautiful walled garden. Cycling activities for all. Library.
A delightful green haven that never fails to impress. The park's expansive green spaces are a dream come true for nature enthusiasts, joggers, and families looking to enjoy a leisurely picnic. It's a wonderful spot to bask in the sunlight, unwind, and connect with nature. The well-maintained pathways invite you to take a leisurely stroll and explore the park's serene corners. Hillsborough Park also boasts fantastic amenities, including a playground for children, making it an ideal destination for families seeking outdoor fun and adventure.
Great Park, lots of open spaces with a nice lake with ducks, etc. Very nice cafe with amenities. Plus a lovely garden to sit in. Children's playground is available, and usually, an ice cream van turns up. Hard floor play area for bikes, skateboarding, etc, and table tennis tables. Travel easy to the park, tram or bus from the city.
Visited for the 1st time to attend the Tramlines Festival. It was a fantastic day, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very well planned and good security. I'd like to visit again and hopefully go to Tramlines again next year. Tom Grennan was absolutely amazing really felt the love during his set. Would definitely encourage anyone to visit.
We walk through the park and sit by the lake and watch the ducks. The ice cream van is priced quite fair and sells delicious ice cream. There is a great park for the kids. Hopefully the damage done by lots of rain during tramlines will be repaired soon and the fencing will be taken down. Still lots to enjoy. Dog friendly and generally a nice atmosphere. Close to transport links and local shops. Plenty of places to sit and have a picnic. I'm unsure about the toilet facilities. Maybe someone can enlighten me
