Two lakes surrounded by walking trails, woodland, and wildlife, offering scenic views, picnic areas, and opportunities for birdwatching and fishing.
Lovely walk particularly on a sunny day. Set in a lovely area in Chandlers Ford, ample parking, with benches for a sit down of needs be. Not vastly huge but a slow wander and you feel like you've had a great walk. Ducks to feed so remember to take some food for them. Has some potential for improvement as some areas looked unkempt but overall a little gem tucked away and worth a visit..
Nice area to go for a walk, peaceful, shady trails to explore. However it's not a huge area, but can do more than one lap, choosing different paths too.
A very pretty and tranquil place to enjoy a walk. There's a big lake - with lots of happy ducks - and little streams, as well as walks through the woodland and plenty of benches to rest too. A very peaceful and beautiful spot.
Good fishing in a pleasant location. Good roach and perch (red maggot works well). Tench and carp can be elusive. And yes, there are some small pike in there. Quite a snaggy place to fish with submerged branches and twigs, plus overhanging trees in most swims (hence not 5 stars). Plenty of wildlife, including ducks, kingfishers, dragonflies, etc. Can be noisy at times with passers by, dog walkers and school kids, but generally peaceful during the week. Fishing pegs aren't too muddy and many are flat enough for those fishing from a wheelchair. All in all, well worth the annual license fee (available from Homestores tackle), especially if you live locally. Work to clear overgrown trees and erect fences has recently finished and the surrounding woods are nice to walk through. The two lower lakes can be seen more clearly and paths are in the process of being resurfaced. Nice place to walk!
A nice walk, some parts have obviously been waterlogged during the rain and they're still pretty soggy in places! There has been a lot of tree felling going on but as my first trip I don't know why. A decent if short walk, but nice to explore somewhere different from usual. Today the lakes had partially frozen which resulted in ducks that could walk on water as they skated across the ice!
First time we'd been for a few years and very nice and peaceful to walk round. Looks good after the work done on it recently. Saw a heron!
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
