Our beautiful private Gardens are open to the public on Wednesdays and Thursdays in July, August, September and October. October Sundays will also see the gardens open from 11am. The wider Estate business operates throughout the year. The Estate Office can be contacted Monday to Friday via telephone or email.
A nice garden to visit in the spring. The daffodils have mostly all finished now but loads of tulips, bluebells, rhododendrons, magnolia, etc, currently in bloom. The formal gardens, in my opinion, reflect the difficult and very wet conditions of the past winter. The woodland gardens have coped better and are just now approaching their peak. Another 10-14 days or so and they'll look quite spectacular. It's a mostly accessible garden for disabled visitors. Toilets were modern, clean and everything worked. There's a tea room for refreshments. Plants for sale next to the tea room. Plenty of free parking. Wear sensible shoes/boots. It was very muddy in places. A relaxing and enjoyable garden with good walks that's well worth a visit.
Went specifically to see the bluebells, and it was a delight. Magnificent carpets of bluebells and wild garlic; beautiful formal gardens and very well maintained territory. There's a small cafe as well, serving a few food options, locally sourced drinks and cakes. The restrooms are nice and clean; and parking is free, plenty of spaces. There're a couple of rustic swings, a small picnic area, and they're dog-friendly.
We had a really nice afternoon to see the bluebells in this very nice Park and Gardens. The little cafe has some sandwiches and snacks. The park and gardens surrounding the house include a nice wood and park with very well maintained paths and garden.
Lovely walk around the gardens and through the bluebell woods. Great cafe at the end of the tour. Great way to spend a sunny afternoon.
Such a great place. Loads to see in various and varied garden plantings. Cafe was lovely too with great cakes AND clean toilets
Lovely gardens to explore especially when the bluebells are out. You can also walk from the carpark on footpaths around the local area.
