Lovely little centre. Went today for my first time stand up paddle boarding. Great parking, well sign posted. Staff were friendly and informative from the guy in the shop to the person who got me the kit, right down to the chap on the canal boat who checked I was ok after falling in. Good facilities- shop, toilets and cafe. Range of snacks available. Beautiful scenery and interesting to see working canal. Positive experience. Everyone was really friendly
An impulse visit that paid off. A great way to spend a leisurely hour on the water. Informative and relaxed trip on a well restored stretch of canal. Good cafe and gift shop. Highly recommend it.
Nice little watering hole on your trip down Chesterfield Canal. Good range of drinks and hot or cold food. Friendly and helpful staff. Public toilets available and the Chesterfield Canal souvenir shop is next door and you can even hire Kayaks and Paddle Boards here
Beautiful area to have a walk and pleasant cafe area to visit. Easy to park during the week when it's not as busy. Good paths for cycling.
Me and my mum and my daughter went for a meal and a walk down the canal here yesterday. The food is nice, I'd recommend the full English, and the walk down the, at some point quite thin, canal path.
