Always enjoy a visit to holloways. Had a lovely scone and coffee a look around the shop and a poke about in the clearance shed and got a lovely Caroline Gardner handbag half price. Lovely staff and glad to see they had listened to my feedback the last time I visited and fixed the banging door into the kitchen.
Fabulous garden centre my first visit today, I am so impressed especially with the restaurant food delicious all locally sourced perhaps a little expensive however you get what you pay for. The staff outstanding everyone so pleasant and helpful, the men at the furniture store(I got a little lost and redirected me and had some good banter ) . Above all I would like to give a huge compliment to Lorraine who was so friendly and helpful especially with assisting my husband who is disabled and on a scooter and found a easier way for us to exit the building escorting him to the exit and wishing him well. All round an enjoyable experience, highly recommend
Although the overall experience was lovely I've given 4 stars because of the welcome! Everyone at the cafe seemed too busy to make eye contact, no welcoming smile (until a lovely young waitress came to our table). We were told, "we will serve you at the table", fair enough but it was rather abrupt! Then, "choose your cake and let the waitress know". I asked if they had any vegan ones or free from dairy. "No we don't" was the answer! Not a "I'm very sorry we don't at the moment" or "I don't think we do, sorry". My moan is there are nicer way to say things! It's not the first time we have not received a warm welcome in the cafe area. The rest of my family certainly enjoyed their cakes!

Holloways have been absolutely first class in every way, from the helpful staff when buying my sofa to the delivery men putting it into position in my house. I bought my furniture about 10 months ago but due to delays in building work it has only just been delivered. Holloways stored it for free and nothing was too much trouble. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality and comfort of the sofa and chair and the fact that it was very favourably priced compared to other well known sofa companies. A big THANK YOU to the whole team.
Very good service from staff at the restaurant and especially the manageress who goes above and beyond. A group of us meet there for coffee and it's always lovely there.
