This picturesque bay on the east coast of England is a haven for water sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation. The bay's gentle curve of sandy beach is backed by a promenade, lined with cafes, restaurants, and amusement arcades. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the seafront, take a boat trip out to sea, or try their hand at sailing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. The bay is also a popular spot for fishing, with many anglers trying their luck from the shore or from boats. As the sun sets, the bay takes on a tranquil atmosphere, with the sound of seagulls filling the air and the twinkling lights of the promenade reflecting off the water.
Great little place to visit. I went kayaking there. The sea is quite rough, even on a calm day, and experienced some very strong undercurrents. I had a wet suit on and a life vest and still felt a bit nervous. The beach is overlooked by RNLI lifeguards, and make sure to take note of their warning flags. There are a couple of lovely cafes along the front, and there is a fair on the Seafront during the kids' summer holidays. There is current regeneration going on along the front top, making it more appealing for visitors but not unsightly.
Always lovely, clean, not too busy (unless it's a hot weekend, but there are always spots of quiet) This is the South Side, really peaceful.
Beautiful seaside. Peaceful and pretty. Parking a plenty, fresh donuts and amusements! Winner
