At present, Horton Bank Top Country Park is exclusively accessible to pedestrians and is a public park in Bradford. We have a set of regulations, which include: 1. Prohibition of fly tipping 2. No swimming in the lake 3. No Barbequing 4. Show consideration to the wildlife 5. Naturally, actions like fighting or starting fires are forbidden. If any of these violations take place, kindly notify the appropriate authorities as we are unable to manage such situations ourselves. - Profile Manager, Liam.
This is a beautiful little gem for a peaceful walk. Family friendly and great for dog walkers. Wouldn't advise taking a pram as it is steep and very bumpy going down to the water from the car park. Picnic spots and seating around the lake with tranquil views.
Wasn't as big as looks on Google maps but a lovely walk. Kids paddling, ducks, dog walkers really nice (mostly clean) place. Car park gated shut but roadside parking. Picnic benches at the top walking through the slightly open gates. An idiot family had a fire going. Some steep areas, steps and a fab view from the top!
Like this Park. It's all natural. Th view of the city is amazing. It's beautiful during the daytime and is great for dogs. I wouldn't advise visiting this place at night, though. There is a small car park at the entrance.
Lovely place to walk around with the kids and dog. Lots of ducks, Canadian geese and swans who never say no to food. Spectacular views from the top. Can be boggy so wear appropriate footwear.
This park is a wonderful place for day visit and have a peaceful time with family. It has 2 lakes, one is small. Lots of ducks and fish roaming around in the lake. It has woodland and walking track. There are two small hills to climb up and see the whole city from there. It is very quiet, gives tranquillity when walking. Dog friendly. Seen many sign of BBQ though official notice hanging not to do so. Altogether had a wonderful afternoon and stayed till sunset. Enjoyed thoroughly. Definitely recommend. Parking available in the street next to the GP. In park parking closed, don't know why. No toilet facilities.
It's a really lovely park. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that it isn't all that big. However, there are a multitude of paths you can take; down by the pond where you can see lots birds swimming), through the wooded areas, and one part that looked more like an open field area. Well kept, and seemingly quite popular as there were a fair few people about, it's a good place to have a wander and see some wildlife. Your walk will be accompanied by bird song, and I even saw a fox on one of the hillsides. There isn't dedicated parking, but you can park easily on the street very close by (1 minute from entrance).
