Lovely park, nice walk around when it's sunny. I like the centre which provides food and drink with good shade. The flowers and nature here are nice in the spring. Great for a short walk.
Hired two of the appbike bikes from the park and went on a lovely little ride around the park. Great tracks and plenty of seats along the way with bins etc. also a cafe on site along with a park for children. Great little place for an afternoons fun
Such a wonderful place for all of the family! Easy, ground-floor parking makes it accessible to everyone. Large open spaces, great for football, kites, etc. There are paths leading all over the park which makes it easy for cycling, and pushing pushchairs or wheelchairs. There's also an area in the middle of the forest for den-building, where we built our 2-room den!! (see photos) We had kids from 4 - 44 yrs old, and we all had a great time! ASK: If you're visiting, and our den is still there, please feel free to build on what we've left, and post an update! It would be great to see how big we can make it!
If you live this area and you would like a good walk, or just relax in the nature, this place is a perfect choise. The pathways are long and litter bins are everywhere. If you are nit a dog person, maybe this is not the best park for you.
First time here a few weeks ago and it is lovely. I never even knew it existed! Nice open park with lots of little interesting natural features and places for kids to play, climb and discover. An easy way to kill a few hours and tire the kids out, and for picnics in the summer. Everything is fairly clean and well kept. There is also a decent sized car park and a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closed when we went due to the national lockdown, however there was a stall outside which was serving beverages and snacks. Lovely place would highly recommend.
Great for dog walks and bicyle rides. Overall scenic and very beautiful.
