Venue showcasing a personal collection of 70,000+ toys ranging from Victorian items to modern games.
Entered as part of the Mountfitchet Castle ticket, so not that expensive. But it's interesting for anyone who has a passion for collecting. Fun to see some toys from my past and have to explain to my kids what a Sega Megadrive was... Lots of older toys and figurines. And a mildly scary theatre show of puppets.
A nice place to come and visit for a couple of hours. Mainly all outside which is lovely. Good interesting history, lovely toy museum, very nostalgic. Please be aware that your child is charged as an adult entry from age 14.
Honestly, it's one of the best museums I've ever visited. The collection of toys and WW2 memorabilia is fantastic. I came for the castle and fell in love with the museum.
Omg this place is so beautiful this is my new favourite place. We were so amazed by the amount of animals they have there and how friendly they are,the little village and the history is magical and then there is the part +the museum. We'll be back with our second baby. I wish more people would come and support them because they truly deserve it.
This was a real little treat! The collection at this museum is really vast and so interesting to see all of the trinkets and mementos from the past. We loved the fortune telling machines. Was a great place to take our little one as there's so much colour. The museum definitely has a really atmosphere and if you're not too scared checked out the haunted section!
take advantage of the opportunity to play some of the first slot machines. Bring coins or cash to exchange for coins there. and there is a very cool tunnel - a room of horrors
