A small, rustic micro animal attraction. Walk a micro pig, miniature donkey, teddy bear sheep or alpaca or just visit. PRE-BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL Huckleberry Woods is not a gravel pathway, chemical weed killer type of place - it's wild and back to nature. Located in a small private orchard, Huckleberry Woods is charming and understated rather than large, slick and commercial. With only a few guests booked in for each session it's an escape from the usual hustle and bustle. It's not the sort of place where you rush between loads of animal enclosures, or other distractions. It offers an hour or two of peace and serenity. Time to relax. Time to 'be' not just 'do' and time to reconnect with nature. CLOSED-TOED FOOTWEAR ESSENTIAL.
Very good couple of hours. Booked online. Spoke to a couple who had booked pig and sheep walking. Personally I thought PS70 for the two was a bit much for a lap of the farm holding a lead but their kids loved it. Overall a nice day and would visit again. Feed is PS1.50 and you get a decent amount. A bag of chopped carrot and a pot of chicken feed. Opportunities to interact with most of the animals. Watch out for the goats! Certain animals, alpacas and sheep loose the whole time. They let the donkeys and goats out for the last 45 minutes ish. Nice little cafe set up if you want a cake, coffee or and ice cream. Edit, staff very knowledgeable of the animals and very, very helpful.
My daughter bought me the experience of walking donkeys for my birthday and I cried when I opened the present. The day came and it did not disappoint. The staff/owners of Huckleberry Woods were so friendly, kind, attentive and informative. The animals - chickens, alpacas, turkeys, pot belly pigs, sheep, goats and the fabulous donkeys - Duke & Wizard are so lucky to have them. What a lovely place for them to live thank you everyone, highly recommended xx A lovely couple of hours with animals & nature xx
I have now visited Huckleberry Woods 4 times and it never loses its charm. If I lived closer I'd be there all the time. It's so peaceful and tranquil. Yesterday we walked with the beautiful alpacas, Teddy and Basil. That was so lovely. The staff are all so friendly as well as extremely knowledgeable about their animals. This is not a farm, it's the home of the animals, and their welfare is absolutely the most important thing, as it should be. I will definitely be back.
This place is so lovely, a warm greeting and we were given our animal feed & then led us through the entry into the orchard, we were greeted by the Alpacas who love carrots. Lots of chickens, turkeys to feed. Brushed some goats (I mean I've never brushed a goat before ) We paid to walk the micro pigs and we had Trotski and I think Lord Truffles- Linda and the other lady (sorry cannot remember her name) were absolutely lovely, so informative and chatty as we walked round the orchard, very relaxing. We also had a some drinks in the cafe, a big pot of tea was a great end to the afternoon I would 1000% recommend coming here, fantastic job ladies
A cute little afternoon out, 2 hours is plenty here. My little one was probably a bit too young to appreciate it, but we still had a lovely time. Enjoyed seeing the animals, feeding them, wandering in the woods and have a tea and cake in the little cafe area. Suitable for a pram if dry.
We had a wonderful morning at Huckleberry Woods. We had booked the pig walking experience for our 4 children, ranging from age 4 to 18 and they all loved it! The animals were free to roam in a beautiful peaceful environment. The staff are so knowledgeable & friendly and the coffee & cake was gorgeous! We would highly recommend Huckleberry Woods to all!
