A visitor centre, operated by the local community, with toilets and showers on a wonderful sandy beach.
Agree with past review regarding the drive there. It's butt clenching in a Motorhome ( 7.2 m ) but nothing ventured! Just slow and steady. Well worth it. Stunning. Beautiful beach and walks. Incredible facilities. So well run and looked after. We did arrive very early on a Sunday and it was sunny. There were a couple of spaces left thank goodness! Stayed for 2 nights. Monday was quiet.
A beautiful location - a place out of time - so relaxing. A long windy road but as others have rightly said, take it steady and enjoy the scenery.. (Hats off to the large campervan drivers!). Parking is chargeable since the community have funded the facilities and carpark. Charges are applicable even if you are not in the carpark. We had good views of golden eagles on the way back (pair) which was an added bonus.
A beautiful spot. A bit of a tortuous drive for 14 miles of single track road but we'll worth the effort. Has public loos, a rarity on the Islands. We had sun and showers and the beach looked beautiful either way.
Gorgeous beach, lovely amenities and only PS20per night to camp(ervan)! Some excellent walking trails nearby as well as very friendly highland cows! The road to get there is not for the faint hearted, but the scenery is incredible! Watch out for red deer too!
Great beach with some good facilities. When we were there the drinks machine had connection issues for card payment so I'd recommend taking some change with you just in case.
Nice place to stay warm and dry when the weather is a little bit unpleasant. Toilets are spotless. Cars are free at the adjacent car park, the fares for campervans are reasonable. Thanks to the folks that keep this spot clean and running.
