Had a great visit with our 7 year old twins. They were really interested and asked loads of questions and listened to what we told them, and they read the information and asked more questions! There was a picture /letter puzzle throughout the museum, but they were so engrossed in the exhibitions that they missed half the clues! - they still got a sticker as they enthused to the great staff members !

We specifically searched out free musuems and came across the Musuem Quarter in Hull. Parking was nearby, and wasn't extortionate (though the current road works meant we had to go over a bridge to back on ourselves, but I digress). From the moment we walked in, the staff were super friendly and welcoming - happy to allow us big kids to do the trail. Straight away, you walk through to a huge wooly mammoth and the exhibition is a walk through the beginning of time. Really great for kids, really interactive and lots to see. Staff are really friendly and helpful all the way through and a great trail to keep kids entertained! Makes for a great day out and theres a beauitful courtyard, so pack a picnic and enjoy these great (FREE!) museums for a great full day out!

This museum is something different. I visit museums all over the country and in Europe too. It is not the biggest but is very interesting. Everything is about the experience, the age of the visitors. Kids these days are more interesting in phones and apps on the phones ( I have a 13 year old daughter) ,but I stopped her to play with the phone, and she became interested. Is a museum special because you can see things from around 80-100 years ago , 1000 years ago or older. Is something for everybody . Archaeology , paleontology, or modern days( cars, buses, shops, carriages, etc) . Go and you will be happy after ,cos you don't waste few hours from your life.

Absolutely lovely, interesting morning out great experience. Staff were absolutely brilliant! Allowed us access to a more private space so I could breastfeed my baby comfortably in private. They didn't have to but as a first time mum, new to breast feeding and still quite shy it really meant a lot!! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Hull
