This mysterious attraction is a small, intricately designed hut located in the midst of a dense forest. The hut's exterior is shrouded in darkness, with twisted vines and overgrown foliage covering its walls and roof, giving it an eerie, abandoned appearance. The entrance is a small, arched doorway that seems to blend seamlessly into the surrounding foliage, making it almost invisible unless you're standing right in front of it. Despite its foreboding appearance, the hut exudes an otherworldly aura, as if it holds secrets and stories that only reveal themselves to those brave enough to venture inside.
Stunning camera obscura. Short and interesting walk from lochmaddy. Hugely atmospheric. Recommended.
This is a stunning place to see though be warned the road to get there is treacherous and not one I would do again in a vehicle. Its about 2-2.5 miles from the main road so if you're able I would strongly recommend walking if you can. Once you're there and you walk into the wee hut it's amazing to see the shadows of the landscape. I've added some pictures to show how bad the road is.
This is an amazing little art installation, mind your head, take a seat and be patient while your eyes get used to the dark. You will be rewarded by an almost oil painting like image appearing on the wall. It is peaceful and almost meditative.
If you're scared of the dark - do not enter. You have been warned.
Doesn't seem to be any signs for it. Horrible vehicle road. Such a shame.
Hidden away gem.
Good for kids
