A 15th-century castle situated on the shores of Loch Oich, featuring a picturesque ruin with crumbling towers, walls, and battlements, surrounded by lush greenery and offering breathtaking views of the loch and the surrounding mountains.
Nice castle but it's all fenced off so you can't poke around inside. Still though nice to have a look around.
A beautiful place, full of raspberries, mushrooms and a great view. If the weather is good, be sure to visit
We had a wonderful stay at the Glengarry Castle Hotel and walked the Invergarry grounds. Our room was comfortable for four, the evening meal was delicious and accommodating for gluten-free needs, as was the morning breakfast. They have quite a few options from the menu and the staff was very knowledgeable. The estate is lovely and so peaceful!
Blink and you miss the turning to this place! I forgot how small the Scottish castles are. I'd call these look out towers compared to the Welsh castles I've visited. But it's beautiful regardless and worth the trip.
It's a nice place to stop on the way. There is no actual trail, We stayed there for 25 minutes. The place itself is very nice, with the castle overlooking a river with a sunked ship. There are no toilet facilities or trash bins. This is more a place to stop on the way and continue.
Quick visit but cool to see. You can't go in but on the right side in the back you look inside through the fence. There is a trail to view the partially submerged shipwreck but it's steep to the waterline.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
