A unique place for contemporary art, exhibitions + events, embedded within the world of plants.
The Rhododendron exhibition is a wonderful mix of scientific fact, botanical history and illustration plus some beautiful pieces of modern art inspired by the plants and their ecological predicament.
What an interesting art we encounter here, maybe its my simple brain that cannot comprehend whats the meaning behind the art. But honestly the place is fantastic, they have one living room with a seat that covered by sheep wool. Its so fluffy and nice, i would definitely search one and buy it for my home
Super art gallery. About 8 rooms over two floors. Wheelchair accessible. Always interesting and beautifully curated. This building used to hold the museum of modern art and there is still some sculptures on the grounds from that time too.
A beautiful airy gallery space in gorgeous Edinburgh botanical gardens. An often overlooked space that is worth a visit.
Currently housing an exhibition about plant and animal life that is being forgotten by the new generation of children due to them spending so little time outside, resulting in not even being able to name the common plants and birds and such. "Lost words" is definitely worth a look if you're in the botanical gardens. The poems are whimsical and the illustrations beautiful. There's no entrance fee, but a donation is welcome.
