Ipsley Alders Marsh nature reserve is an important remnant marsh in the middle of Redditch consisting of sedge peat, a rare habitat in the Midlands. Spring water rises below much of the site, ensuring that parts are waterlogged all year round. It is managed as a grazed marsh; small numbers of cattle are on site for much of the year to maintain structural variety within the grassland marsh. For our wildlife, our cattle and other visitors please keep dogs on leads at all times during your visit. Fishing is not allowed and please keep dogs out of the water. It is one of 75+ nature reserves owned or managed by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, the county's largest conservation organisation.
