The Italian Gardens is a beautiful and tranquil oasis located in the heart of Hyde Park, London. This charming garden is designed in the style of an Italian Renaissance garden, featuring a stunning lake, fountains, and walking paths surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers. Visitors can stroll through the gardens, take in the serene atmosphere, and enjoy the picturesque views.
Serene and pretty little park overlooking the sea.
Back in the 70's you could walk along Penarth seafront and it would be full of people sitting in deckchairs and enjoying the sunshine and listening to classical music being played in the Italian Gardens where people would also relax on deckchairs. This morning just a couple of people enjoying sitting on seating along the front in Penarth.....more people sitting on Penarth Pier which is a Victorian Pier opened in 1898 Paddle Steamers used to run boat trips from Pier end. The Balmoral still uses Penarth Pier for trips you would need to find the timetable if you want to go on her. There were just little groups walking enjoying the fresh air today, but lots sitting in the Cafe's and Restaurents having drinks, lunch or snacks. This area is where I spent many happy years as a child and it still holds the same draw for me as it did then. You can still Promenade along the sea front and on sunny days can still see all the way up the Bristol Channel to the new Severn Bridge, over the Channel to Clevedon and Weston Super Mare and then Flat Holm, Steep Holme and the Somerset Coast. Beautiful in the sun.
Comfortable , good views, you could be anywhere sat amongst the palms. Coffee shop and chippy 20 yards away. Alcohol from hotel to take away and across rd. From pier and promenade.
