A bronze statue of Jim Clark, a two-time World Champion Formula One driver, standing proudly in his racing attire, looking out over the town of Duns, Scottish Borders, where he grew up.
Brilliant statue commemorating the life of in my opinion the greatest racing driver of all time, nestled on the side of the road you'll find the statue accurate to the location. Must visit if you're a racing fan like myself just to pay a simple tribute amongst the lands that he called home.
It's a statue of Jim Clark, the Scottish racing champion. The Council has rebuilt the damaged bridge next to the statue, which leads onto a large enclosed field with a small children's play area.
Lovely tribute to one of the World's best! The detail on the statue is fantastic and just off a lovely road to drive on, into the village of Kilmany! Serene area with some great walks nearby in Summer
If you're a Jim Clark fan like me and in the area maybe visiting Duns and Chirnside then call here at his birthplace for a photo and put another piece in the jigsaw puzzle. I'm glad I did.
Out of the way and not signposted but for anyone interested in the man himself or Lotus this is well worth a visit.
Nice tribute to an amazing F1 driver who's life was cut short doing what he loved doing.
Good for kids
