This is the 3rd time we've been. The staff are absolutely brilliant, right from the entertainers to the bar staff, even the cleaners are friendly. The park itself is right next to a lovely dog walking trail, which leads to the beach, plus the cafe/restaurant is great value and quality. Also, the on-site shop has a good amount to offer at a decent price. The pool is a very decent size, plus they have gadgets to hire for the kids to use. But the entertainment is 100% worth seeing every night. They have things for the kids all day through to the night. Then bingo, quizes and live entertainment to enjoy. Plus, in the same building as the entertainment hall, there is an arcade for all to enjoy. I would always recommend Sunny Glade. Even during off-peak times, they make the holiday great for all. Thank you for having us again, and we can't wait to be back.
My wife, daughter, son in law, grandson and I just got back from a two week stay at Trelawne manor camp in Cornwall from what was supposed to be our big family holiday, the first we have had since lock down making it a very special event for us and we all agree it was the most disappointing holiday We have ever had, so much so that we came home two days early due to the poor entertainment and a lack of any kind of children's activities for my three year old grandson when there was supposed to be kids discos, Kids bingo, games and activities including meeting Foxy and Freddy most of which didn't take place because we were told they need at least ten kids before they can put on bingo etc. All that was available most nights was some felt tip pens and a poster to colour and it was the same poster every night. On the second week of our stay the bars and amusements didn't open until 4.00pm leaving us no other option but to travel into Looe and spend lots of money on car parks and coffee just to stay sane and when the amusement's were open the arcade machines kept constantly cheating us out of tickets to the point where we got fed up of having to get the security man to open them for us so told my grandson they were broke. we asked for someone to show us how to work the heating in our caravan and were told that maintenance would call but that never happened and a general couldn't care less feel from the majority of the staff. we got fed up of being told that they are winding down for the season and have no staff which basically left us trapped in our caravans with nothing to do. My family and I agree that we will never return and will probably not use this company again.
I didn't expect much from this place but the 1 bed value chalet was much better than we expected and clean. The park seems to be the cheapest in the area, so we rebooked. We enjoyed our stay. Out of season, we had the pool to ourselves on week days. The park was quiet and we did not hear our neighbours. Bar was expensive but the cabaret was fair.
Just back from our 3rd visit to St Ives holiday village. We stayed in a 2 bedroom pet friendly gold lodge which had been refurbished since our last visit. New sofas, chairs, carpet and curtains in the lounge / dinning room area which were lovely but were not really bad before. As before we found all staff that we came into contact with very helpful. We love it here and ask for this particular lodge because it suits our needs as 95 year old mother comes with us . The dog loves rabbit and squirrel watching and the walks in the woods when she's not going to the beach. We are so happy with our stays here we booked this holiday and our October holiday last October. We would recommend the accommodation we have to anyone .
It's a big park so the facilities are good but obviously there are a lot of people too. I think I'm still getting used to post-covid rules and found it too busy for me. It's a good base though for other activities in the area. The caravan was clean apart from a half drunk cup of juice left in a bedroom which did make me wonder what else had been missed but it looked OK. There are lots of activities in the day for the children and a nice park and swimming pool. When we went a lot of the arcade games were broken which disappointed our kids who had money to burn. The beach is directly opposite after a short wall through the sand dunes. The shop is well-stocked but expensive which is to be expected. It is a good park but we prefer a quieter setting and I will bear this in mind when I book again. We have stayed with John Fowler lots of times and liked the other parks.
We stayed at the St. Ives holiday village. We used it as a base to explore south Cornwall. It had everything we needed. We booked the platinum lodge with no hot tub. I would recommend this one. Has a bus stop to get the bus into St Ives. I would recommend using it.
